"I am now back home and getting ready - reluctantly - to resume work on Monday after a year off. By now I have had a chance to reflect a bit on the program and what it has meant to me.
For the past 10 years, I have been a regular weekend skier at my local hill here in Saskatchewan. I first learnt about IA last year while I was doing my re-test in Lake Louise. At that time, it became clear to me that the IA program could provide an excellent opportunity to spend 3 months doing nothing but skiing in the big mountains under the direction of some of the best ski instructors in our country. I did check other programs, but IA seemed to offer the best arrangements. This is how I came to enroll in the program.
I must say that I have truly enjoyed every aspect of the program and will recommend it to others without any hesitation. I liked the diversity among participants (in terms of age, life experiences, backgrounds, etc) and the energy and enthusiasm they brought to the training. The instructors were phenomenal - they made the program what it is! All arrangements were great and it was quite easy to fall into a routine. In fact, I am experiencing a bit of a "withdrawal syndrome" as I try to get used to being home and not skiing."

"At the age of 28 I was unsatisfied with my job and craved a dramatic change! Having previously worked in the winter sports industry I was aware of the Academy's reputation for offering high quality training combined with great in resort support. I bit the bullet, put down my deposit and have never looked back! I went from being an unconfident but enthusiastic boarder to tackling steeps and jumps that I never dreamed I could! The training we received was world class. Each of our instructors offered something different in terms of style and experience. More than this, they were so much fun that even on the hardest days when you were really challenged, you felt totally supported. Aside from the training element, I have made friends for life.
