Work Placements
Our ski and snowboard instructor training courses give you the opportunity to attain qualifications awarded by BASI, CSIA, CASI, or NZSIA. These organisations are members of the International Ski Instructors Alliance (ISIA) which is the world body for ski and snowboard instructors. Despite each national body having their own teaching methods and certification system, qualifications gained through their courses have international recognition.
ski jobs at the resorts
We are proud to have a very high success rate on our instructor training courses and many people have gained ski jobs at the resorts that we work with. If you obtain a Canadian work visa, you could spend your gap year or winter season training, living and working in the spectacular Canadian Rockies:
"Anyone who has trained with our top Pros, skied for weeks at our world class resort, and has committed to living and working in Canada for the season is guaranteed an employment interview. How could we not hire you?"
Kevin Eaton - Assistant Director, Lake Louise Ski and Snowboard School
For the 10 & 11 week courses, many of our trainees have returned to the resort where they trained to work as an instructor, as the nature of the courses have mutual benefits for both the ski and snowboard schools and your own personal development. After spending up to 3 months of training with the instructors, you will be considered a potential asset to the ski and snowboard school, possessing the relevant skills, knowledge and experience of how they operate on a day to day basis. The resort can sponsor your visa for you to work there as a ski or snowboard instructor.
working at other resorts worldwide
The qualifications you can gain through our courses can enable you to work as an instructor in various countries around the world, so you may wish to expand your horizons and seek employment at another resort. There remains a huge demand for qualified ski and snowboard instructors at resorts worldwide.
