The TOTAL surf instructor course is a comprehensive 3 month course designed to build your experience and knowledge of surfing, the ocean, and instruction

Over the 3 months you will develop the necessary skills required to pass all qualifications needed to become a licensed surf instructor. Besides the qualifications, you will focus on teaching techniques and surfing abilities to make you a well rounded and employable instructor.
surf development
The first two months of the course will focus on improving your technical skills, ocean experience, ocean awareness and fitness. You'll be exposed to varying and challenging conditions and learn how to deal with them.

A 3 month surf instructor course facilitating the development of the following:- Practical development of beginner to intermediate surf skills
- Ocean safety, ocean awareness and fitness training
- Access to a variety of waves
- Instruction to achieve catching, riding and turning on unbroken waves
- Increased surf theory and exposure to more challenging waves
- Increased ocean fitness, paddling power and confidence
- Preparation to pass all requirements to become a Level 1 surf instructor
- Up to 40 hours of practical coaching experience

Purchasing your own wetsuit is recommended.
instruction
During the course, the surf instructors will prepare you to pass all qualications including; advanced resuscitation, open water rescue, advanced first aid, and your run swim requirements.
Besides the qualifications, Mojosurf will show you how to be an effective instructor, by providing up to 40 hours of practical experience.

You will finish this 3 month surf instructor course with increased surf skills, ocean fitness and full accredition.

entry requirements and surfing ability
You must be 18 years or older and have basic swimming skills, with the ability to swim 50 metres unassisted.
People can join the the course with no experience through to intermediate.

accommodation
You will be based at the Spot X surf camp on the famed East Coast of Australia.
Accommodation at the surf camp is dormitory style and meals will be provided for you while at the camp.
