These courses are unique in that they offer an intensive and fast track route to your CSIA Level 1 or 2 qualifications. For those already certified to Level 2, we also provide the opportunity for you to take your Level 3 course.
The 6 week courses we offer at Timberline Lodge ski area at Mount Hood would mainly appeal to strong skiers or snowboarders who are focussed and determined to train hard over the summer and gain their CSIA qualifications in a very short, intensive training programme.

With regard to the programmes, we have included 3 hours per day of off snow training. We are the only programme to offer this and it will ensure that our participants will have every possible opportunity to be successful. Some practical teaching experience for our Level 3 course participants is another important element of this programme.
We are excited to offer these courses at Mt Hood which is world-renowned for its summer skiing, and there is no other instructor training programme quite like this on the market. These summer courses can set you up in order to qualify and work during the winter in North America or Europe.

Located at the 6,000-foot level of Mt. Hood, 60 miles east of Portland in Oregon, Timberline Lodge ski area is a full-service resort open 12 months a year offering winter, spring and world-renowned summer skiing.
The resort is known as the summer ski capital of North America and attracts ski teams and race enthusiasts from around the world to ski on the lift-accessed Palmer Snowfield. World champion alpine, freestyle and snowboard skiers from the United States, Canada and Europe also use Timberline as a training base during the summer months.

There will be a range of activities you can do in the area including mountain biking, white water rafting, golf and a whole lot more.
You can even visit the Timberline Lodge Hotel on Mount Hood where the film "The Shining" was filmed.
accommodation
You will stay in at the Mount Hood Hostel located at the base of Mt Hood near to Government Camp which offers basic but comfortable accommodation including bunk beds, reading room, a kitchen / cooking area and use of a refrigerator, hot showers, wireless internet and lockers.
The accommodation will be on a self catering basis but transportation to the local supermarket for groceries will be provided. Please contact us on 029 2066 0200 for a package including food.
