In partnership with Mojosurf, International Academy offers the ultimate surf instructor courses in Australia. At Spot X, you can eat and breathe surf and the surf culture, and have the opportunity to improve your surf skills alongside some of the best surf coaches in the country.

The surf instructor courses are designed to produce competent surfers in 3 months that have the skills to complete certification requirements. Top coaches will work with you every day providing a high level of one to one attention to improve your surfing. Training techniques including video and photo assessment, classroom theory, surf fitness, water safety awareness and countless water time will help you to achieve your goals.
We will also assist with job placement opportunities and the prospect of getting a surf coaching job at one of the 4 surf schools operated by Mojosurf.
Total surf instructor course: 3 months: £5250 (AUS$7890) excluding flights and transfers
the surf camp on the beach
You will be based at a purpose built surf camp at Spot X, locayted north of Coffs Harbour and south of Byron Bay on the beautiful east coast of Australia.
Based in a National Marine Park, Spot X is a place totally devoted to the surf lifestyle. You have a unique opportunity to spend time in one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal areas, long days in the sun and waves leading to memorable nights around the camp fire. Spot X is truly a place you don’t want to miss.
You will get to stay in the most unique beach house and cabin accommodation and you couldn’t possibly get any closer to the beach. Everything is supplied; comfortable beds, clean new linen, hammocks and hot showers.
All meals are prepared for you daily by our camp chefs, ranging from BBQs to burritos with fresh salads and fruit always available. Vegetarians and Vegans are happily catered for on request.
Outside of surfing, you can get involved in many other games and activities and get to know the crew. You can experience kayaking, skydiving, music around the campfire and much more. Your endless days on the beach can be as exciting or relaxing as you like.
Many of the areas you will visit will be abundant in native flora and fauna. You can often see kangaroos, wallabies, goanna, native birds, sea turtles and on many occasions, you will surf with some friendly bottle nose dolphins!

learn to surf and development courses
If you are keen on surfing but not interested in becoming a cerified surf instructor, we also offer learn to surf or surf development courses.
These courses also take place at Spot X in Australia and although they don't lead to a qualification, you will certainly have lots of fun learning to surf or developing your surfing skills and technique.
