To be eligible for this course, you need to have 15 days at sea (2 days as Skipper), 300 miles and 8 night hours .

The Coastal Skipper Practical Course is designed to provide students with strong boat handling and navigational skills in tidal waters, providing the knowledge and experience of sailing in coastal passages by day and night.
The course content includes reinforcing of the assertive leadership skills that are key to the making of a confident and safe skipper, as well as instruction in passage planning, preparing a yacht for sea and dealing with emergency situations.
