the ski or snowboard instructor training courses
Gain two levels of certification on our 10 week ski or snowboard instructor course in Cardrona over the summer. You can attain the NZSIA Level 1 (formerly known as the Certicate in Snowports Instruction) and Level 2 (formerly known as the Stage One) instructor qualifications.
Experience New Zealand's premier ski resort with it's amazing people and culture. This course is scheduled to fit in between "A" level and University start dates. If you're thinking of an exciting way to kick off your gap year, a new career in snowsports instruction, or an extraordinary way to spend your summer, you can qualify in order to work the winter ski season!
Our courses are co-ordinated by the Cardrona Instructor Training Centre, which has their most highly qualified, motivated and experienced NZSIA qualified trainers and examiners working full time for you. This includes five current or ex New Zealand Demonstration Team members and a number of senior ski and snowboard examiners. The courses are overseen by Bridget Legnavsky, Cardrona Snowsports Manager who has been part of the NZSIA demonstration team since 1996 and current author of the NZSIA Ski Division Manual. You will not get the same level of professionalism or influence in New Zealand skiing, than what we offer through our courses in Cardrona.
