Experience: 37 years of skiing, 19 years of teaching. Garett has taught at Whistler/Blackcomb for 15 years and has also taught at Banff (Lake Louise, Sunshine Village, Norquay) and internationally in Japan, New Zealand and Australia.
Teaching Philosophy: Technically oriented, and results based, Garrett works through fun analogies and directed experimentation.
Skiing Philosophy: Believes in warming up slowly and getting a feel for the snow. Use fluidity and technique before aggression, then crank up the speed, rip up the bumps, shred the powder and plummet down the steeps. It's more fun when you push your limits.
Favourite Runs: Gandy dancer & Tokum for cruising. West Cirque & Surf's Up for freeriding.
